Sun Pishu is Secretary of Party Committee, Chairman and CEO of Inspur Group, and a deputy of the 10th, the 11th, the 12th and the 13th National People’s Congress. He has been rated as “Top Ten Outstanding Youth of China”, and won the National Science & Technology Progress Award twice.
As a pioneer in the information industry of China, Sun Pishu leads Inspur Group to leave an indelible mark in every critical stage in the development of the information industry of China. In the era of personal computers, Sun Pishu led his team to successfully develop China’s first generation of 0520 microcomputer, unveiling the Chinese IT industry. In 1993, the first SMP2000 server was developed under the leadership of Sun Pishu, which broke the monopoly of foreign manufacturers, and started the Chinese server industry. As a result, Sun is also reputed as the “Father of Server of China”.
In 2010, by virtue of a sensitive perception of changes in the industry, Sun Pishu led Inspur Group to transform from a traditional provider of products and solutions to a service provide of cloud computing and bigdata operation, advocated and promoted the open, sharing and innovation application of data, and create the new ecosystem of “Chinese digital commerce”, for which he was praised as “the first person of open data” in China. Under his leadership, Inspur Group maintains the No.1 position in China and the No.3 position in the world in the server market, the No.1 position in the government affairs cloud market, and the No.1 position in terms of comprehensive strengths of Tianyuan bigdata. Inspur Group has already become a leading service provider of cloud computing, bigdata and new smart city in China.
